Nowadays, almost everything can be processed at the tip of our fingers – paying bills, subscribing to unlimited music and movie streaming sites, buying clothes and groceries, and booking a trip for that much-awaited vacation. Even connecting with our loved ones living miles and miles away from us is not anymore a problem. In addition, huge amount of information is readily available and accessible on the web. These advancements on IT have greatly impacted our society – especially on the way we live.
As for me, IT has already been embedded in my day-to-day life. Using my mobile phone allows me to easily communicate with my family and friends through social media apps, organize my to-do-lists, note and set an alarm for important appointments, track my health-related activities, get the latest updates on sales, pay my bills, do my shopping online, etc.
In my workplace, utilizing software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and SPSS Analytics has been a normal routine. The use of Gmail also allows me to easily communicate and/or share files to my co-workers.
In summary, I heavily rely on IT in accomplishing my daily tasks more efficiently and effectively.
In this era, it can’t be denied that the role of IT is crucial in our lives and in order for us to keep up with this fast-paced world, it is a must that we learn more about it. Through this, we will be able to do things easier and have a hassle-free experience in our daily transactions.
